SMTP Configuration
Standard SMTP. Mailhog defaults: host mailhog (Docker) or localhost, port 1025.
Microsoft 365 Configuration
Uses the Microsoft Graph API with app-only (client credentials) authentication. No user sign-in required.

Azure AD setup checklist
- Go to Azure Portal → Azure Active Directory → App registrations → New registration
- Give it a name (e.g. GridBook Mailer), leave redirect URI blank, click Register
- Go to API permissions → Add a permission → Microsoft Graph → Application permissions → add
Mail.Send - Click Grant admin consent for your organisation
- Go to Certificates & secrets → New client secret, copy the value immediately
- Note your Tenant ID and Client (application) ID from the Overview page
Google Workspace Configuration
Uses the Gmail API with a service account and domain-wide delegation. No user sign-in required.
The
client_email from your service account JSON key file
The
private_key from your service account JSON key file. Paste the full key including the header and footer lines.
A real Google Workspace mailbox the service account is authorised to impersonate via domain-wide delegation.
Google Cloud setup checklist
- Go to Google Cloud Console → IAM & Admin → Service Accounts → Create Service Account
- Give it a name (e.g. GridBook Mailer), click Create and Continue, skip optional role/user steps, click Done
- Open the new service account → Keys → Add Key → Create new key → choose JSON and download
- Copy
client_emailandprivate_keyfrom the downloaded JSON file into the fields above - In Google Admin Console → Security → API Controls → Domain-wide Delegation → Add new
- Enter the service account's Client ID (from the JSON or Service Account details) and add scope

Microsoft 365 Sign-in
Let users sign in with their Microsoft 365 account using OAuth 2.0. Existing username/password login continues to work.

App registration steps
- Go to Azure Portal → Azure Active Directory → App registrations → New registration

- Click Register and note the Tenant ID and Client (application) ID from the Overview page
- Go to Certificates & secrets → New client secret and copy the value immediately
- Go to API permissions → confirm

Google Sign-in
Let users sign in with their Google account using OAuth 2.0. Existing username/password login continues to work.

OAuth 2.0 client steps
- Go to Google Cloud Console → APIs & Services → Credentials → Create Credentials → OAuth client ID
- Choose Web application, give it a name (e.g. GridBook)
- Under Authorised redirect URIs add your callback URL (see above)
- Click Create and copy the Client ID and Client Secret
- Go to OAuth consent screen and ensure
email,profile, andopenidscopes are listed - If your app is in Testing mode, add authorised test users; or publish the app for all users in your domain
License Status
Enter License Key
Paste the license key provided to you. The key is validated locally and stored in the database.
GridBook Software License
GridBook is commercial software. Each installation requires a valid license. Licenses are tied to the purchasing organisation and may not be transferred or shared.

License key not included: The license key is excluded from all backups and restores. After restoring to a new installation, you will need to re-enter your license key in the License tab.

Restore from Backup
Upload a previously created backup file to restore your data. This will permanently replace all current data. Your license key will not be affected.
